Wolves squad keen to see Jimenez deal made permanent
Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez is reportedly proving very popular amongst his teammates at Molineux.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Wolves squad are keen to see Jimenez move to the Midlands on a permanent basis in January after a successful first half of the season.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan at the club from Portuguese outfit Benfica, with Wolves paying a €3m loan fee and reportedly having the option to purchase the player for €38m.
The Mexican international, who has over 70 caps to his name, has featured in every one of Wolves’ 16 Premier League matches this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the process.
It’s not just his goals that have impressed his peers, with his work rate and hold up play also making him a favourite on the training ground.
Having spent £80m in the summer transfer window, Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo seems unlikely to splash the cash on Jimenez next month but is supposedly in the market for another striker to support him.
