Wolves linked with move for Man United’s Rojo
Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a January move for out of favour Manchester United centre-back Marcos Rojo.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Rojo will be made available for transfer by Jose Mourinho after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Wolves were interested in the Argentine in the summer but a move failed to materialise, although Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo could now make another approach for the player.
The 28-year-old moved to Manchester from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2014 but is yet to feature for the Red Devils in the Premier League this season.
Mourinho seemingly prefers the combination of Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof at the heart of the defence, leaving Rojo on the sidelines.
Wolves have deployed a three centre-half formation this campaign, with Conor Coady, Willy Boly and Ryan Bennett forming the regular trio in front of goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
However, it seems Espirito Santo is keen to bolster his backline, as we reported at the start of the week that the club are interested in Toulouse youngster Jean-Clair Tobido.
Everton were also interested in Rojo in the last transfer window but opted to sign Yerry Mina from Barcelona instead.
